Kelly Spain is the founder of The CARE Institute for AI Strategy and the architect of The C.A.R.E. Model for Human-Centered AI Strategy™, a governance framework helping educational institutions, nonprofits, and small businesses adopt AI with structure, accountability, and human values at the center.
With more than 20 years in education and an MA in Counseling Psychology, Kelly occupies a rare intersection: she understands people, organizations, and systems, and she builds governance architecture at all three levels. Her consulting methodology, AUBRYCE, guides organizations through a five-phase engagement from assessment through continuous governance. Her institutional readiness system, CEBRAYA, helps leaders identify exactly where they are in their AI maturity and what to do next.
Kelly has deployed her frameworks across multiple real-world environments with documented outcomes, including higher education faculty, healthcare and medical education, faith communities, professional organizations, and senior populations. She does not speak from theory. She speaks from architecture. Every session is framework-driven, practitioner-grounded, and designed to leave participants with a tool they can use before the week is out.

What Audiences Walk Away With
01
There Is Always a Framework
Not a list of tips. Not a trend report. A governance framework your audience can return to after the applause fades. The C.A.R.E. Model is the architecture behind every session Kelly delivers.
02
There Is Always a Takeaway Tool
Every attendee leaves with something they can use before the week is out. A posture assessment. A decision filter. A phase one roadmap. Something real, not a PDF they will never open.
03
It Is Never About the Technology
It is always about the humans responsible for governing it. Kelly does not pitch tools. She builds the governance intelligence that helps leaders make confident decisions about any tool, any time.
