I am Kelly Spain. Certified AI Consultant, educator, systems architect, and founder of ABCs Mom Biz and The CARE Institute for AI Strategy. I have spent more than twenty years in education watching what happens when institutions are handed solutions before anyone has taken the time to understand them. I built my practice to change that. Every framework I have designed, every system I have built, and every engagement I have delivered begins with the same commitment: people first, technology second, always.

ABCs Mom Biz is my AI strategy consulting practice. It is where frameworks meet implementation, where governance meets operations, and where institutions and organizations that are serious about responsible AI adoption come to build something that will last.
The practice operates across three service lines. AI Strategy Consulting, where I work directly with institutions to assess readiness, establish governance, and deploy AI responsibly through my proprietary consulting architecture. Training and Workshops, where I design and deliver sessions ranging from single keynotes to full faculty readiness programs, built to move audiences from uncertainty to informed, confident action. Custom Web Solutions, where I build the digital infrastructure that organizations need to operate and present professionally, from the ground up.

At the center of ABCs Mom Biz sits The CARE Institute for AI Strategy, the consulting and education division I founded to bring human-centered AI governance to institutions at scale. The Institute operates through a three-layer framework architecture, a governed AI agent ecosystem, and a curriculum lab built to produce the next generation of AI literacy programming for educators, administrators, and organizational leaders.

The Person Behind the Practice
Why I Built This
I did not come to this work looking for a new career. I came to it because I kept watching institutions make high-stakes decisions about AI without a single framework for ensuring those decisions served the people most affected by them. I could not unsee it. So I built something about it.
But the deeper reason is simpler than that. I am a mom. A wife. A breadwinner building a future for a family that depends on me every day. My husband lives with Parkinson’s Disease. We have three children. The work I do is not separate from that reality. It is shaped by it. I understand what it means to need things to work. To need systems that are fair, not just functional. To need solutions that hold up when the stakes are real and the margin for error is thin.
That is the standard I bring to every client. Not just what is efficient, but what is sustainable. Not just what is possible, but what is worth building.
The C.A.R.E. Model, ABCs Mom Biz, and The CARE Institute do not exist because they were good business ideas. They exist because the people and institutions I serve deserve strategy built specifically for them, with the same care I bring to everything that matters in my own life.
